UTAH UTES

UTE NATION

Utah football thrives on the energy of its fans. Ute Nation turns Rice-Eccles Stadium into one of the toughest home-field advantages in the country, and that same loyalty travels with the team wherever the schedule takes them. Fans don't just attend games – they shape the experience, fueling the traditions and unity that define Utah Athletics.

BACKGROUND

As Utah Athletics continues to grow on the national stage, the program is equally focused on elevating the experience for the fans who power it. The partnership with Wayfyndr brings that commitment to life – giving fans a mobile-first fan journey platform that makes gameday easier to plan, navigate, and enjoy across multiple sports and venues.

"Great Team To Work With" "We saw an increase in our mobile order sales, from 2.5% to 10% after we implemented Wayfyndr. It was so successful, we implemented them not only here at Rice-Eccles Stadium but also at Jon M. Huntsman Center and we're planning on doing another project for our upcoming baseball stadium. Can't say enough, awesome team, great to work with."

FOR FANS

The University of Utah partnered with Wayfyndr to transform the fan experience across Rice-Eccles Stadium, the Jon M. Huntsman Center, and the new Charlie Monfort Field at America First Ballpark. The goal was a mobile-first companion fans could rely on the moment they needed it – surfacing essential information like parking, traffic routes, and shuttle locations, while making in-venue navigation, amenities, and gameday attractions easier to find. The result is clear: less time searching, more time soaking in the energy of the game.

ONE DIGITAL HUB

Wayfyndr consolidates every piece of essential gameday information into a single destination – parking, venue navigation, schedules, concessions, and amenities, all a tap away. By integrating with Utah Athletics' existing digital channels, the platform meets fans where they already are and strengthens the department's broader digital ecosystem rather than fragmenting it.

GAMEDAY TIMELINE

The Gameday Guide gives Utah fans a clear view of what's happening and when – from where to park and when gates open to pre-game traditions, in-venue promotions, and post-game moments. Fans see the day laid out in one place, so they can plan their arrival, build in time for tailgating, and make sure they don't miss the moments that matter.

EVENT-SPECIFIC VIEWS

Every event has its own footprint – different parking lots, different gates, different shuttle stops. Wayfyndr filters the experience by event so fans see only what's relevant to the day they're attending, whether that's a Saturday at Rice-Eccles, a basketball matchup at the Huntsman Center, or a game at America First Ballpark. The result is less noise, less guesswork, and a fan journey that adapts to whatever's happening at the venue.

CONCESSIONS & MENUS

Wayfyndr helps Ute fans find food and drinks without wandering the concourse. Smart search and filters let fans narrow options by cuisine or dietary preference, then pinpoint the nearest stand on an interactive map. Through integration with VenueNext, fans can also browse real-time menus and order ahead – turning a common gameday frustration into a few seconds of planning.

PARKING & ARRIVAL

Wayfyndr takes the stress out of getting to the venue. Fans can see designated parking areas, traffic routes, and shuttle information before they leave the house – no more searching across multiple sources to figure out where to go. By making arrival information easy to access in advance, the platform helps fans start the day relaxed rather than rushed, and helps the athletic department reduce congestion around the venue.

WINNING TOGETHER

By launching dedicated fan journey experiences across football at Rice-Eccles Stadium, basketball at the Jon M. Huntsman Center, and baseball at the new Charlie Monfort Field at America First Ballpark, Utah Athletics has made it meaningfully easier for fans to plan their day, navigate parking, and move through every venue with confidence.

The America First Ballpark deployment carried particular weight: with the venue opening for the 2026 season, every fan walking through the gates was a first-time visitor, and Wayfyndr gave them a guided way to find parking, locate their seats, and explore the new ballpark from their phone.

Across all three venues, the investment reflects the program's broader commitment to its supporters – meeting modern expectations while honoring the traditions and energy that make Utah Athletics what it is.
